When Paths Cross

There was a man in Caesarea named Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment. Acts 10:1

This story amazes me because it involves two men in separate places, from separate cultures, with separate worldviews. God spoke to them and they obeyed, allowing separate paths to cross. The results: Good News was extended to the Gentiles.

Lord, may we be open to serving you in obedience when you direct the crossing of paths. Give us the courage to move when we feel a nudge from you. Help us to veer on the side of faith rather than coincidence, when we believe you are leading us to a certain task or when you have placed a special person in our lives.

Father,

There are no coincidences with You.

Whomever You will us to know ... if even for the briefest of moments ... may we be our Lord's hands and feet.

May what we give be Christ.
